Alright, so school’s over, and I think I managed to do pretty okay! I didn’t manage to complete all of my goals, but I completed all of the ones I initially put on here, so I think I did pretty decent! I kinda forgot about all this after April, but now I remember, and I will be doing this again next school year, for Grade 9!
School is starting tomorrow, and there are a lot of things I would like to fix about myself regarding my bad habits in school. I would also like to become a nicer person this year, and ‘seek first to understand, then to be understood’. I also have to stop procrastinating.
So I decided to make a list of small missions for me to accomplish at school on this blog, and I will continuously update this post to check off the tasks I have completed. Of course, there is no need for me to put this on the blog, but this way I feel more compelled to actually complete these tasks knowing that there might be someone monitoring my progress (there probably isn’t though, this blog was literally started three days ago).
I’m going to start off with some tasks that are low in quantity first because I don’t know how well I’ll do. If I find these are too easy I’ll make them harder. Once I get a feel for the kind of homework I get I’ll adjust these tasks to fit. As for the tasks unrelated to schoolwork, I won’t edit them.
Tasks to complete at school/relating to homework:
- Complete 14 assignments three days before the due date. Does not overlap with task 3. Task may be subject to change.
- Complete 3 assignments within 50% of the total time given. Task may be subject to change.
- Complete 6 assignments four days before the due date. Does not overlap with Task 1. Task may be subject to change.
[3/6] Didn’t complete 😦
- Get into the top 30 runners at the Cross Country race. You can do it!
- Get an average of 89% on your term 1 report card. You just need to get your music, phys. ed. and french grades up.
- Get an average of 89% on your term 2 report card.
[0/1] Failed rip
- Compliment someone everyday, but not in a random way. For example, do not just look at someone and say “Nice shoes”.
[You’ll just have to remember to do this everyday]
- Don’t deny someone of their opinion, even if it’s really dumb and you completely disagree with it. Instead, first understand their opinion completely and offer your own opinion in a gentle and civil way.
[Just do this instead every time you want to call someone an idiot]
That’s all for now, but I will edit tasks one and two as I see fit and maybe add some more later on. Anyways, I start this tomorrow, wish me luck!
I completed one assignment three days before the due date. I think these tasks aren’t too hard to complete nor too easy, but I have yet to see.
I completed another assignment three days before the due date. I increased the amount of assignments to 7 for goal 1. It also seems that I won’t be able to join the Cross Country team this year, but maybe there is a chance. We’ll see.
I completed another assignment three days before the due date, and also managed to make it 50% of the time given (the time given was 7 days, I did it in the morning of the 4th day). Also increased amount of assignments to 10 for goal 1.
Completed assignment 3 days before due date. Also, I have joined the Cross Country Club without problem!
Completed assignment 3 days before due date.
Completed assignment 3 days before due date and also within 50% of time given. I think I’m complimenting someone at least everyday, but I’m not sure. I have to try harder, especially on the sixth task.
Wow it’s been quite long since I had something else to write. I finished an assignment 3 days before due date.
I DID IT! I WAS 18th out of 102 runners at a 4km cross-country race. I think it was supposed to be 5km, but they changed it for some reason. Anyways, although I’m happy that I got in the top 30 runners, I think I ran a bit too hard, because I’m currently spending the next hours after the race trying not to throw up.
Finished two assignment 3 days before the due date today, one of them is in 50% of the time given. Since it’s only about halfway through term one, I’ll increase some tasks and make some new ones too. Task one increased to 12, new task added (currently task 3).
Finished one assignment 3 days before the due date and one 4 days before the due date. Yay.
Finished one assignment 3 days before the due date. My brain hurts.
Finished another assignment 3 days before the due date. Now I must conquer the 4 day ones.
Very sorry. I’ve received a few projects over the past month, none of which I completed 4 days before the due date. I have to try and work harder. Term one is nearly over, and I’ll be making new goals on here for the next term.
YESSSSS! 89% AVERAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
An assignment done four days before due date, also added a new goal: get average of 89% or more on your second term report card. It was already pretty darn hard to get it on my first term report card, but I’m definitely aiming for a higher average than term one.
Got another assignment done four days before the due date!
